Clinic is in Mariposa next to John C.
Fremont Hospital. Not only developed
for Native Americans, both the
Health Clinic and Dental Clinic are
available for anyone needing service.
Located at 5192 Hospital Rd.
the clinics are open 8AM to 6PM
Monday through Friday and can be
contacted at 742-6144.
For visitors to Yosemite National
Park the Yosemite Clinic is available
for Emergency Services 24-hours a
day, and for Family Practice and
Dental 8AM to 5PM winter months
and 8AM to 7PM during the summer.
For emergency services, dial
911. For clinic services dial 371-
4637 during business hours.
Mercy Ambulance is available in
Mariposa County with units stationed
in Mariposa and Coulterville.
The Yosemite Clinic provides ambulance
service, which is backed up
by the National Park Service and
Mercy Ambulance.

EDUCATION
The Mariposa County Unified
School District offers a diverse educational
program. There are seven
elementary schools, one community
school for 7-12 grades, one comprehensive
high school in Mariposa,
and two smaller high schools in
Mariposa County Chamber of Commerce ? www.mariposachamber.org
Coulterville and in Yosemite/El
Portal. Spring Hill School serves as
the alternative education opportunity
school, and on the same site is
the Mariposa County Independent
Learning School, which assists
home scholars. Jessie B. Fremont
Community School in Hornitos provides
service for students with special
needs. Merced College and the
University of California Campus in
Merced offer higher education available
to
Mariposa students.
